Film professional with decades of experience in the industry

Among many other titles in the media and advertising business Merja has been the CEO and owner of Finland’s biggest production company at the time, Woodpecker Films. Woodpecker was voted the best production company in Finland 4 times in a row and won several international awards while Merja in the helm. She has also earned credits in scripting and hosting film producing lectures for several companies and organizations.

Merja worked very closely for Nokia nearly for 14 years taking care of their global campaigns with many global agencies. Her area of responsibility at the time consisted of consulting Nokia’s Global TVC productions around the world. For the last 15 years, she has been running her own production company/production consulting service Front Desk. Merja has been represented in Cannes by winning Gold with Euro RSCG Amsterdam’s ad Nokia Game 2002 and silver with Euro RSCG Amsterdam’s “Twenty lives” 2006. Among success in Cannes, Merja and Front Desk have won several other international prizes not to mention the whole bunch of shortlist nominations.
